This week in Comp Colts sports was filled with many exciting and very competitive games, matches, and meets. Comp Girls Varsity soccer went 0-2 this week with two hard fought losses to no. 10 Ludlow 1-0 and no. 1 Minnechaug 2-0. The girls are off to a good start and are ranked in the top 10 for the MassLive rankings. Look for the girls to have a big week this upcoming week. The Boys varsity team was unbeatable with wins over Holyoke 3-2 and a ranked Pope Francis team 2-0 while also tying a ranked Palmer team 2-2. The boys made their first appearance in MassLives top 20 and aren’t going anywhere. Look for the boys to stay hot this upcoming week. Varsity football had one game last week and it was against no. 1 Central. The Colts played tough but Central was just too much. They have a home game this upcoming week at home against a very good Westfield team who is ranked no.4. The Colts are also in the top 10 at no.7 so look for this one to be a good one. If you don’t have anything 10/5 at 7 come support them at home. The Boys Cross Country team had one meet this week where they beat Central 24-33 and also took down the Pacers 17-42. They are off to a good start this year and will look to continue it. The Girls Volleyball team went 2-1 last week with wins over Sabis 3-1 and handing the Pacers their first loss 3-2. They lost to a very good Westfield team. The girls look to stay hot heading into this week. Golf went 1-2 this week beating Southwick 15.5-8.5. They lost to two very good teams in Amherst and Northampton. Look for them to make some noise next week.
